Building Services Compliance Officer (NIHE)
Your new company The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) to recruit a Project Manager / Building Services Compliance Officer. Based from their head office on Adelaide Street, Belfast, within their Asset Management Building Safety team. This organisation has more than 85,000 properties and employs 3,000 members of staff throughout NI. Your new role Responsible to the Building Services Manager for ensuring the NIHE is fully compliant with its statutory and regulatory duties to its customers, employees, and third parties and to assist in the management and co-ordination of the planned and cyclical servicing and maintenance programme for the specialist mechanical and electrical equipment in NIHE Offices, Depots, High Rise Residential Blocks and Hostels. Some of the key duties include: To contribute to all aspects of the Building Services Function of the Building Safety Department, to ensure NIHE's compliance with its statutory and legislative Health and Safety obligations. To assist in the development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, particularly in relation to Heating Systems, Electrical Safety, Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Detector and Lifting Equipment (including servicing and LOLER) across the NIHE stock portfolio.
