Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Glasgow - Property Consultancy - to £55,500 + c.10% Bonus + Package. Remuneration: Salary £55,500 Discretionary Bonus c.10% per annum Company pension 8% employer contribution Life assurance 4 x salary 25 days holiday Healthcare What you’ll do: Carry out full detailed design Client advisory directly with end user clients Project management & coordination with other engineering and real estate disciplines Prepare specifications, reports, design drawings and budget costs to programmes Peer review and overseeing external consultant designs Client/Project management We work exclusively with one of the world’s leading Property Consultants, who advise on all aspects of commercial property to help their clients realise the true value of their buildings and/or estates. Over the last decade they have developed a fully functioning, in-house M&E Consultancy that feeds off the M&E work that occurs across their client’s buildings and portfolio’s - full Project Management & Detailed Design (stages 0-7). Uniquely, they have access to their own client base and do not have to competitively tender for projects, resulting in a less pressurised environment and providing the financial resources to recruit into the M&E team when needed rather than expecting employees to shoulder more pressure and work excessive hours. Essentially, a client-side role that will give you direct access to clients, working on the client’s behalf as part of the client team as the clients representative. Offering you direct access to clients thinking and an unprecedented insight into the client’s psyche and the drivers behind commercial property ownership. They have an established team of experienced M&E Engineers, from which to continue your leaning and development. There is structured training for all employees to CEng and a clear route of progression. The earning potential is in excess of that in design consultancy, with a great salary and an excellent package, including annual bonus of circa 10% of salary and opportunities for CPD and career growth that are exponential. Mechanical Contract Manager
Your new company A Mechanical Contractor, established over 100 years ago looks for a Mechanical Contracts Manager Your new role Attend Post-tender / Pre-contract review meetings with Clients & Main Contractors to discuss and agree contract scope along with both commercial and contractual matters.* Post contract award carry out initial equipment checks alongside our design team and advise the design team of any concerns at the earliest opportunity to avoid any procurement / programming or financial implications later. * Post contract award develop equipment procurement and buying schedules for allocated contracts, along with sending out enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors based on received contract documents for completeness and for better buying purposes. * Place subcontract & material orders to satisfy the requirements of our contracts to satisfy technical, programme, cost and quality compliances. * Monitoring of site labour and keeping a record of site activities, numbers of operatives / sub-contractors on site and cost checks against the tender estimates What you'll need to succeed You will need to be an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager from a Building Services Background What you'll get in return Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 Depending on Experience Office working hours: Mon- Fri inclusive 0800 - 1700hrs less 1hr lunch break.
