Junior Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer

Your new company We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading company in the building services sector, for an experienced and talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for various projects. You will work closely with other senior engineers and project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects within the specified timelines and budgets. Your new role Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met. Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and assess project progress. Oversee the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Stay updated with advancements in mechanical engineering and integrate new technologies into designs What you'll need to succeed Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience Good experience in mechanical design engineering. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices. Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Revit/CAD Engineer (Building Services)

Your new company A well-established mechanical contractor with over 15 years of experience delivering building services solutions across commercial, industrial, and educational sectors. Known for high-quality work and collaborative project delivery, they typically handle projects valued between £1 million and £2 million, with some reaching up to £8 million. Your new role As a BIM/CAD Technician, you'll be joining a close-knit design team of two experienced engineers. You'll be responsible for producing detailed mechanical building services drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, supporting the design and coordination of projects from concept to completion. This is a full-time, office-based role with working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including a 1-hour lunch break. What you'll need to succeed Intermediate to advanced experience with Revit and AutoCAD in a building services context. Solid understanding of mechanical systems in commercial, industrial, or educational buildings. Ability to work collaboratively within a design team and manage your own workload. Familiarity with BIM processes and standards is desirable but not essential. Principal Mechanical Engineer

They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team. As a Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the Mechanical design solutions for a range of building services projects, from initial concept through to final delivery.  You will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to the success of our exciting and challenging projects, while working with a dynamic and innovative team that makes a positive impact on the built environment. Responsibilities: Lead the Mechanical design on complex and large-scale projects across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, education, healthcare and industrial. Manage the delivery of mechanical design solutions in accordance with British Standards and relevant codes of practice. Produce detailed mechanical designs and specifications for projects, ensuring compliance with performance requirements and energy efficiency standards. Undertake detailed calculations and simulations to validate the mechanical design solutions. Attend site visits and meetings with clients, architects, and contractors. Work collaboratively with other engineers and design team members to ensure project deadlines and deliverables are met. Mentor junior engineers to ensure their development and provide technical guidance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging electrical design technologies and practices. Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 6 years' UK experience in mechanical design engineering within the building services industry. Ideally Chartered Engineer status. Knowledge and experience of British Standards and relevant codes of practice. Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (desirable) Experience in using mechanical design software such as Heavacomp, IES or equivalent. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to lead and manage a team. Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
