Your new role The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of electrical systems across a range of design and build projects. Working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams, they will contribute to developing compliant, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and implementation of electrical systems for building services projects. Produce technical reports, calculations, schematics, and specifications. Collaborate with mechanical, BIM, and external teams to deliver coordinated MEP designs. Support project delivery from concept through construction, including site visits. Contribute to estimating, tender reviews, and value engineering proposals. Promote sustainable design and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Participate in client meetings and technical workshops. What you'll need to succeed Experience working in an electrical design role in the building services industry. Degree in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering is preferred; however, applicants with an HNC, HND, or equivalent experience will also be considered. Basic understanding of electrical systems and relevant sector standards. Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD or Dialux will be advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general ICT tools. Revit / CAD Technician (MEP) Location: Nottingham Salary: £35K - £50K (Dependant on experience) About the Role An established Building Services Engineering Consultancy is seeking a skilled Revit / CAD Technician to support its multidisciplinary team in delivering coordinated MEP design solutions across a range of sectors. The successful candidate will produce high-quality 3D models and technical drawings using Revit MEP and AutoCAD, contributing to efficient and accurate BIM outputs throughout all project stages. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed 2D and 3D MEP models using Revit and AutoCAD. Apply company standards and best practices consistently across all drawings. Support the development and implementation of Revit processes and BIM standards. Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordination and design accuracy. Manage project information and deliver work to agreed quality standards and deadlines. About You 2–3+ years of experience using Revit MEP within a building services or construction environment. Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical building services systems. Proficient in Revit MEP and AutoCAD (Navisworks experience advantageous). Senior Fabric Estimator
My client are a Building Services & Specialist Contractor who have been established in 2003 who have 8 Offices throughout the UK. As a business, they employ 300+ Staff Nationally and are expected to Turnover £55Mil+ this year. Working within the Commercial & Public Sectors, their sites are generally within London, Surrey, Kent & Sussex. The London Office is currently 15 strong, made up of 3 Admins along with Contract Managers & Project Managers. Due to growth of business, they are now seeking a Senior Estimator to join their London office. THE JOB – SENIOR ESTIMATOR (FABRIC WORKS) Monday – Friday / 8am - 4pm You will producing tenders in Construction and Fabric Projects up to a value of £3,000,000. Core Duties Tendering & Cost Estimation Prepare detailed cost estimates for building fabric works (e.g., roofing, masonry, carpentry, plastering, painting, flooring, partitions, ceilings). Assess drawings, specifications, and site surveys to determine material, labor, and equipment needs. Develop Bills of Quantities (BoQ) or schedules of rates. Produce cost plans, budgets, and value-engineered options. Bid Management Review invitations to tender (ITTs), RFQs, and PQQs to ensure compliance. Prepare and submit competitive tender proposals. Liaise with supply chain partners for quotations and rates. Identify commercial risks and mitigation measures within bids. Technical & Commercial Analysis Carry out site inspections and feasibility studies. Evaluate subcontractor bids and supplier quotations for accuracy and compliance. Ensure all costs reflect current market conditions, building codes, and best practices. Support cost modelling for reactive and planned maintenance projects. Collaboration & Liaison Work closely with project managers, contracts managers, surveyors, and procurement teams. Provide pre- and post-contract support, including clarification of estimates. Engage with clients and consultants to explain cost breakdowns. Risk & Compliance Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies. Ensure estimates comply with health & safety regulations, sustainability goals, and statutory requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction materials, building regulations, and industry standards. Leadership & Mentoring Guide junior estimators and assist in their professional development. Establish best practices in estimating, cost tracking, and bid submissions. Lead estimating efforts for high-value or complex fabric service projects.
