Associate Mechanical or Electrical Design Engineer
Your new company Your new company is working on some of the most complex MEP designs in the UK and are very proud of their technical ability and the quality of services they deliver for their designs, working on RIBA 2-4 and consulting through 5-7. The office is located in either Leicester or Birmingham however, you can be flexible with how often you attend the office, so if you live a little further away to Leicester or Birmingham, then please still apply. This company is currently working with United Utilities, MoD, Public Health England, DEFRA, and NW Universities. Projects range from £50m - £600m Your new role In your new role, you will be working as an Associate Electrical or Mechanical Engineer on highly complex and technical MoD projects, including Shooting Ranges, Bespoke Training Facilities, UK Defence Facilities and DEOP (Defence Estates Optimise Programme). As well as MoD, you will be working on highly detailed labs, including Public Health England and Defence labs with both clean rooms and Cat 4 Labs. This role will be highly technical and requires the right candidate to be skilled in conceptual and detailed design.What you'll need to succeed To succeed in an application for interview, you will need to either working at similar level or ready to step up to this level with design experience either within a consultancy or contractor. Mechanical Small Works Manager
Your new company We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable company located in Leicester, seeking a Mechanical Small Works Manager. This company specialises in delivering small-value mechanical projects, ranging from £5k to £250k, including planned refurbishments, maintenance upgrades, reactive works, and minor installations. Your new role As the Mechanical Small Works Manager, you will be responsible for: Managing and delivering multiple mechanical projects from inception to completion. Coordinating with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Preparing scopes, quotations, schedules, and method statements. Monitoring project progress, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensuring all works comply with health & safety and regulatory standards. Providing technical support and resolving site issues. Building and maintaining strong client relationships. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you should have: Proven experience in mechanical contracting, ideally in a similar small works/project manager role. Strong technical knowledge across HVAC, plumbing, and general building services. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
