Your new role You will be working as an experienced Mechanical Project Manager overseeing projects. Typically you would be overseeing 3 to 4 projects and the values could be equally as varied usually between £100,000 to £2/3 million. What you'll need to succeed You preferably be an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with experience of overseeing multiple projects. It would be particularly advantageous if you have experience of CAT B fit outs. Key responsibilities include: Leading the design of mechanical services projects from concept to construction. Managing and prioritising the internal design team's workload. Ensuring compliance with specifications, Employer's Requirements (ERs), and regulations. Collaborating with estimating and delivery teams to ensure project alignment. What you'll need to succeed A strong technical background in mechanical building services, plumbing, and air conditioning. Proven experience in technical design management or senior design roles. Experience in office and/or retail fit-out projects. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects independently. Willingness to travel to London for site visits and client meetings. Your new company A leading Mechanical Contractor specialising in Commercial, Hospitality and Residential projects is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The company has been established for over 15 years, covering all aspects of mechanical installations including heating, plumbing, air conditioning, ventilation and BMS systems. Your new role Assisting the estimator by reviewing tender drawings, specifications, and schedules. Suggesting value engineering possibilities to optimise costs and efficiency. Reviewing our tender prior to submission to ensure compliance with client requirements and internal standards. Performing design checks, including calculations for heat losses/gains, pipe sizes, duct sizes, pumps, fans, etc. Continuously suggesting value engineering possibilities to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Updating layouts, schematics, and other design elements as required. Preparing and submitting technical documents and specifications for approval. Assisting Revit/CAD technicians with coordination issues to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems. Supporting Contracts Managers with resolving design-related issues during the construction phase. What you'll need to succeed Degree: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or Architectural Engineering is desirable. Third-level qualifications, such as an HNC, will also be considered. Experience: 3+ years of experience working within building services design from either a consultancy or contractor background is essential. Technical Skills: Strong MEP Revit/CAD experience.
