What you’ll be doing As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be involved in a wide variety of projects from concept through to completion. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver low-energy, future-ready buildings. Building Physics Engineer
Building Physics Engineer - To £45K + 9-day fortnight + Annual salary increase As a Building Physics Engineer, you'll use your passion and knowledge in Architectural and Environmental Engineering to help model a blend of NZC buildings all around the world. Working closely with the Building Performance Engineers and Sustainability Consultants, you'll use IES to model and improve the energy performance of both new buildings and existing buildings. You'll enjoy a diverse role as you undertake urban modelling, microclimate and energy studies, environmental data analysis, and conduct R&D into new or emerging technologies and modern methods of construction. You'll also work closely with the in-house team of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health) Design Engineers and help the Mechanical Engineers optimise the most suitable cooling and ventilation strategies. Working to Nabers, WELL, or BREEAM standards you'll help model buildings that minimise energy and carbon and are fit for purpose. Where possible, you'll promote the use of natural ventilation or passive methods and help integrate the most suitable range of renewable technologies into these developments. In return, you'll receive 25 days' annual leave, get paid to have every second Friday off (as they operate a 9-day fortnight), and enjoy a hybrid working week of two days from the office. You'll enjoy consulting directly with architects and clients through all RIBA Stages 2 - 7 of a project and carrying out POEs to ensure that completed projects perform in use as they were intended to during the early design stages. You'll also benefit from working on a range of UK and international projects and get to really influence the sustainability elements on projects, and enjoy working in a close-knit, social, and friendly team. They are looking for a Revit Technician to work on a diverse project portfolio, including masterplan regeneration projects, mixed use residential and commercial schemes, hotels, and medical centres. To be considered for this role applicants will have: 2 years REVIT experience in a commercial working environment. Using Revit MEP to create complex 3D building systems and geometries for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, IT, containment and fire protection systems. Working from Engineer’s mark-up's and sketches under minimum supervision to produce MEP drawings in Revit MEP and CAD as appropriate to each project. They are currently looking for a talented and motivated Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join their Building Services team in Maidenhead. The Role: You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with clients, architects and other members of the professional team to deliver a wide variety of demanding large scale projects in the UK and potentially overseas. Duties will be varied but generally include the following: Undertake detail design and specification of LV electrical installations and distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, cabling, control equipment and building services for the associated installations. Specify switchgear, transformers and associated cabling and control equipment Prepare feasibility, concept design and implementation studies. Produce design documentation including specifications, models, drawings, calculations and assist the team to ensure that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and completed in accordance within agreed timescales and budgets.
