Static Pipefitter/Mechanical Engineer
My client are an Essex based Building Services Company who have been operating for over 20 years. They now employ over 30 staff (with a team of 8 plumbers) and turnover £7mil a year. Due to a significant amount of work starting in the New Year, they are seeking a Commercial Pipefitter to join their team and work on Commercial Fit Out Projects in London. THE JOB – COMMERCIAL PIPEFITTER / MECHANICAL ENGINEER Monday - Friday / 8am - 4pm (30 min paid lunch) You in Central London working across their portfolio of Commercial Fit Out Projects. You will generally be based on each project for 3 - 4 months. Your duties will include: FCU Installation & Repair Mechanical Plant Pipe work covering galv, iron, steel, copper, plastic, composite etc., to include mapres or similar systems. Working knowledge of pumps, pressure and expansion vessels, DMZ valves, basic mechanical maintenance of plate exchangers, strainers, side stream filtration systems Ability to fault find on building related heating, hot and cold water distribution problems. Works may involve emergency repairs, breaking out of walls and floors to access pipe work. Commercial pipe fitting Commercial isolation Fitting/ Installation of commercial pipework. Electrical Project Manager
Your new company You will be working for a well established electrical contractor based in Nottinghamshire that has been in operation-over 25 years with a strong longstanding team. This organisation typically works in a fast-fit out sector, mainly for the commercial market in the larger cities of the UK (e.g. London, Birmingham). The projects they typically work on vary in value with the average project circa £1.5 million and window of the programme between 12- 20 weeks. Due to the great reputation and quality of work, in which they deliver, they continue to gain repeated work. Equally, important to them is looking after the team and that is reflected in the retention of the members of the team. Your new role You will be an electrical project manager usually working on commercial projects such as office fit-outs on lighting control systems. You will be taking projects from stage 3 design and leading the project from end to end. You will work in close conjunction with the CAD department, the health and safety team and procurement. You will usually be supported by a non-working foreperson on the sites you are attending. What you'll need to succeed You will need to be a well experienced electrical project manager that has worked on similar projects and has suitable electrical qualifications. They have great working relationships with their clients, so good communication skills are required. Electrical Design Engineer

Your new role As an Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will be responsible for: Working on a wide variety of construction projects throughout the UK. Preparing designs, calculations, specifications, and tender documentation for electrical services as part of a project team. Understanding regulations and standards and keeping up to date with future changes. Coordinating with other disciplines and specialists. Undertaking feasibility studies. Preparing detailed budget costs and defined estimates if required. Delivering regulatory obligations associated with Building Regulations Part L and BREEAM. Working with mechanical/energy/Part L engineers to derive low energy design solutions. Attending design team and project meetings on behalf of the company. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you should have: Experience in electrical building services design (including emergency lighting and fire alarm design). Knowledge and understanding of BS7671. Hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux, Relux, Amtech, and/or Hevacomp. Design consultant or contractor background. Experience in general electrical building engineering services. Team player with the ability to operate at an individual level. Good experience in electrical detail design and performance design. Confident and outgoing personality, able to be client-facing and build relationships with our valued client database. Desirable Skills and Experience Experience in using Revit MED or Magicad. Member of IET or CIBSE or working towards this. Good organisational and time management skills, able to manage projects, outputs, and work within deadlines. Experience in the building services design environment. SAP and/or SBEM experience and LZC reporting would be advantageous.
