Essential Skills: Minimum of three years industry experience working in building services electrical design. Formal qualifications in electrical design. A degree is not essential providing a track record of practical training and qualification has been completed. Strong analytical skills, ability to recognise and solve problems. Ability to coordinate electrical requirements with associated MEP skillsets/requirements. Highly articulate and numerate. Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and drive within complex and agile team structures. Ability to prepare technical specification documents, such as scoping of works. Ability to contribute to written reports and presentations for a diverse range of audiences. An autonomous approach, with the capability of planning one’s own workload (recognising deadlines) and communicating effectively. Good IT skills (Word/Excel/Microsoft Office). Full UK driving licence. Desired Skills: Membership of a professional engineering body (such as MCIBSE or MIET). Experience in the design of fire safety systems. Experience in the design of low-voltage switch panel systems. Experience in the design of building energy management systems (BEMS) and control panels/control strategies.
