The Role: Practical Project Involvement – Assisting in the design of electrical building services, including power distribution, lighting, generators, UPS systems, fire alarms, and sustainable/renewable energy solutions and more. Site Experience – Conducting on-site surveys and assessments to improve energy performance and attending project/design team meetings, in interesting and often unusual buildings in different parts of the UK, gaining a deeper understanding of regulations and energy standards relating to the design and installation of electrical systems within buildings. Technical Development – Learning to prepare technical reports, specifications, and CAD drawings, ensuring a well-rounded skill set. Mentorship & Career Growth – Working alongside experienced Chartered Engineers, with tailored guidance to support professional development and career progression. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll work closely with the M&E Director, a recognised expert in the design of low-energy buildings. You'll be given the freedom to lead your own projects, yet have full support and backing from the Directors or Associates when you need it. Experience leading and mentoring a few Junior or Intermediate Engineers.
