Head of Electrical Engineering - To £90K (Hertfordshire) + Clear Progression Established over 150 years ago, this firm has continued to drive innovation in the built environment, pioneering a unique approach to design and construction projects. Due to succession planning, we are seeking a Head of Electrical Engineering for a global CDM Consultancy based in Hertfordshire. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you'll have full autonomy over the Electrical Team and enjoy working on complex projects with clients such as the Institute of Cancer Research, AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, Imperial College London, and the Medical Research Council. As a Design, Management and Construction Consultancy, you'll enjoy seeing your projects through their full lifecycle, from feasibility to construction. You'll interact and collaborate with other in-house experts such as Design Managers, Project Managers, Architects, Structural Engineers, Validation Engineers, Commissioning Managers, Cost Consultants, and Construction Managers, and ensure all projects are designed and delivered on time, on scope, and budget. Having every discipline in-house means you'll be able to guarantee quality, cost, and timely delivery on every project you undertake. Role: This role requires a specialist pharmaceutical/life sciences Senior Mechanical Engineer, to spearhead energy efficiency projects and be the go-to person for design advice and lead projects. Facilitating & providing technical expertise on Energy Kaizen Leadership and HVAC systems. Reporting on engineering KPIs by reviewing the data collection phases and quality of the technical work. Applying expertise in engineering complex GMP compliant HVAC systems for building services. Leading stakeholder discussions with clients on the technical delivery and progress. Working on client site to facilitate projects (both nationally and internationally). Working closely with the Engineering Manager to develop the technical expertise. Responsible for adoption of technical best practice and adoption by the engineering team to maintain consistency and quality of deliverables Supporting the Business's ISO 9001 status for consistent quality delivery. Business Operations (10% of the role): Working closely and collaborating with the senior leadership team, operations team, and sales team to ensure effective operations to support current and future client engagements, by helping to develop project resources. Participating in weekly engineering team management meetings and taking responsibility for delivering agreed actions and reporting. Supporting business risk management through identification and mitigation activities. Assisting in a culture of innovation and excellence and maintaining global subject matter expert status.
