Your New RoleIn this role as an Associate Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a vital part in designing and developing electrical systems for diverse building projects. You will be acting as the lead Electrical in London and will be the right-hand person to the London Director tasked with growing the office. You will support the design team by preparing technical drawings, undertaking detailed calculations, and ensuring that projects conform to both regulatory standards and industry best practices. Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer
Your new company This practice have multiple offices across the UK and their London Office is growing rapidly due to new project wins. They work on a variety of construction and infrastructure projects working with prestigious clients both locally and internationally. They currently have 100 plus staff with ambitions to grow further with career development high on their goals for the business. Your new role You will be working as either a Senior or Principal Engineer in the London office helping to run some larger work currently being won. These projects are across multiple sectors so they are flexible on the background of the applicants coming through. Ideally you will be working with Revit and have a decent knowledge of BIM as well as working across offices with remote teams. What you'll need to succeed Ideally you will be degree qualified although not essential and ideally Chartered status. If not they are happy to support Engineers to get Chartered. Mechanical Design Engineer
Your new company You will be part of a growing family-owned establishment in operation in over 25 years, focusing on Mechanical Contracting. They work on a range of projects but have a strong focus on office fit out. This is a hybrid role based in South Birmingham. Your new role Therefore this would suit someone either of their learning trajectory or someone who is a well established Mechanical Design Engineer. Your role will evolve to include: Create detailed designs for mechanical systems, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, and fire protection systems. Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution. What you'll need to succeed You will need Building Services qualification or proven experience in a similar role.You will need to have a good level of computer literacy in Microsoft packages. You will need to have experience and awareness of mechanical designs and experience in using IES/Thermal Modelling. It would be beneficial if you have revit but not essential. You will need to have detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards. You will be taking charge of project deliverables, make decisions, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way.
