Your new role We are seeking an experienced Electrical Services Manager to lead the management and maintenance of electrical systems and infrastructure across a large, complex estate. This is a senior technical leadership role with responsibility for ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence.You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, manage external service providers, and act as the subject-matter expert for electrical services. The role involves strategic planning, budget management, and driving continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with all statutory and health and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the electrical maintenance team, promoting a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement. Manage statutory inspection and maintenance regimes for electrical and life safety systems, including HV/LV networks, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and generators. Oversee external maintenance contracts, ensuring value for money and high-quality service delivery. Provide technical advice on compliance, legislation, and best practice. Contribute to long-term maintenance strategies and budget planning. Act as Authorised Person for HV/LV systems and ensure safe systems of work for all electrical activities. What you'll need to succeed Degree-level qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent experience. Authorised Person training for HV/LV distribution systems. Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure, statutory compliance, and health & safety legislation. Experience managing maintenance strategies, budgets, and external contractors. Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in a UK design consultancy. Expertise in mechanical building services design, with a solid understanding of technical standards, legislation, and best practice.
