Senior Electrical Engineer
Role: Our client is a multi-disciplined engineering consultancy practice that specialise in mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) infrastructure projects, delivering innovative solutions across complex building environments. They are part of a wider engineering brand that has a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence. They provide a range of specialist infrastructure design and operational support services, in critical power systems, especially the integration of new systems into existing complex environments, including acute healthcare, environment, secure IT, and education projects. Accredited and active members of many professional institutes, they are a registered designer for network substations up to and including 33kV and ensure business continuity for mission critical infrastructures. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the development and implementation of compliant strategies within their projects. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while shaping the next generation of engineering talent. Responsibilities: Prepare and present technical evidence, calculations, and design support for healthcare specific building services systems. Collaborate effectively with clients and external design teams (architectural, structural, quantity surveying). Work closely with internal disciplines including mechanical, electrical, public health, and sustainability. Mentor and guide junior and intermediate engineers within the Power Infrastructure design team. Design of electrical systems, including design calculations, specifications & schedules and technical drawings Act as a project leader on multiple projects Technical review of electrical system designs and specifications, completed by junior/intermediate team members Undertake site surveys Coordination with external design teams; architectural, structural, PQS, CDM, etc and internal team; CAD, Revit, electrical, public health, sustainability disciplines. Monitoring project costs and time & maintaining project deliverables. Requirements: HNC/Degree qualification preferred - Electrical or building services – Experience in lieu of qualifications will be considered Working towards Chartership. Professional membership of relevant institute preferred (CIBSE, IET, IHEEM) Highly Experienced in Electrical Engineering services systems designs across a range of building types and in particular health buildings. Demonstratable experience of power infrastructure system design Significant experience operating at Intermediate Engineer role Client relationship building skills. Switchgear and controls experience preferred but not essential Experience using Microsoft Office; Excel, MS Project etc Experience with calculation software; Trimble, Etap, Dialux or equivalents Knowledge of British standards, building regulations documents, CDM regulations Knowledge of HTMs would also be of benefit but not essential. 3D CAD Coordinator (Fabrication MEP)
My client are a privately owned Mechanical Contractor based in South London who have been operating for 25 years. As a business, they employ about 35 staff across the board and specialise in CAT A & CAT B Commercial Office Fit out projects in London with Project values ranging from £500k – £11.5Mil. They are now seeking to grow their Design Department by hiring an additional 3D CAD Coordinator to join the team. They primarily produce drawings using AutoCAD Fabrication, which are then integrated into AutoCAD. Additionally, they use Navisworks to perform 3D model walkthroughs. While experience with Revit is also advantageous, their core workflow revolves around AutoCAD Fabrication, AutoCAD and Navisworks. THE ROLE – 3D CAD Coordinator Monday – Friday / 9.00am – 5.30pm Key Responsibilities Develop fabrication-ready 3D models of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) using Autodesk Fabrication CADmep, AutoCAD & Navisworks. Produce detailed shop drawings, spools, and fabrication layouts for prefabrication teams. Coordinate with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure model accuracy and installation feasibility. Conduct clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or equivalent software. Maintain and manage fabrication libraries and CADmep databases for duct, pipe, and fitting components. Assist in creating material takeoffs, BOMs, and CNC files for duct and pipe fabrication. Support site teams by providing technical guidance on fabricated components and installation details. Ensure all models and drawings comply with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements. Provide technical support and training to junior coordinators or drafting staff as required.
