Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Consultancy) Birmingham to £40,000 + Package Talent Motion specialise in transitioning experienced M&E Design Engineers from traditional M&E design consultancy into client-side Building Consultancy. You will design across all RIBA design stages 1-7 ranging from feasibility studies to full detailed design, working across a broad range of sectors within the private and public fields. With a 20 strong M&E team the business traditionally focused on all aspects of M&E Surveying but over recent years they have invested growth into their M&E Design and Project Management offering. As a global Building Consultancy, the main differential from the traditional design consultancies is that they have access to their own client base and do not have to competitively tender for projects, resulting in a less pressurised environment and providing the financial resources to recruit into the M&E team when needed rather than expecting employees to shoulder more pressure and work excessive hours. Essentially, a client-side role that will give you direct access to clients, working on the client’s behalf as part of the client team as the client’s representative. Offering you direct access to clients thinking and an unprecedented insight into the clients psyche and the drivers behind commercial property ownership. Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Installation Engineer Location: Mobile – North West (within a 40-mile radius of Preston) Salary: Up to £39,000 basic + discretionary annual bonus Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 The Company We are working with a well-established, privately owned, family-run building services contractor based in Preston, with over 80 years’ experience in the HVAC industry. The Role As an Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of a wide range of air conditioning systems, including: Split systems VRF / VRV systems Ducted units HVRF systems Air source heat pumps and associated mechanical plant This is a mobile role covering commercial sites across the North West. The ideal candidate will be based in or around Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington or East Lancashire.
