Senior Electrical Design Engineer

A rapidly growing engineering consultancy is expanding its specialist Data Centre team and is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer who is ready to take the step up into a Senior role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with data centre or mission‑critical experience to accelerate their career within a structured, supportive environment. You'll be joining a team delivering high‑resilience, high‑performance electrical systems for UK and international data centre projects-ranging from hyperscale developments to complex refurbishment schemes. Your new role You will be responsible for: Producing detailed electrical design for data centres and mission‑critical facilities Working on resilient LV/HV power systems, UPS, generators, redundancy strategies (N+1, N+N), and containment Supporting senior engineers in project delivery, client interaction, and technical reports Coordinating with mechanical, structural, and specialist mission‑critical teams Attending design reviews, workshops, and client meetings Taking ownership of work packages with a clear progression path to full Senior responsibilities What you'll need to succeed Data centre or mission‑critical experience is essential (UPS, LV/HV, cooling interface, resilience) Strong electrical building services design background Understanding of Tier standards, Uptime Institute principles, or similar Proficiency with design tools such as Amtech/Trimble, AutoCAD, Revit (desirable) Strong communication skills with an interest in stepping up to client‑facing work Working toward chartership or keen to progress professionally What you'll get in return Salary up to £65,000, depending on experience Hybrid working and flexible arrangements Clear progression into a Senior Engineer role Exposure to major data centre schemes across the UK and Europe Supportive team structure with ongoing CPD and technical development What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call Adam on 0207 259 9760 now. Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
