Mechanical Design Engineer
Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Consultancy) Birmingham to £60,000 + Package Talent Motion specialise in transitioning experienced M&E Design Engineers from traditional M&E design consultancy into client-side Building Consultancy. You will design across all RIBA stages 1-7, ranging from feasibility studies to full detailed design, working across a broad range of sectors within the private and public fields. With a 20 strong M&E team the business traditionally focused on all aspects of M&E Surveying, but over recent years they have invested growth into their M&E Design, Project Management and Decarbonisation service offering. As a global Building Consultancy, the main differential from the traditional design consultancies is that they have access to their own client base and do not have to competitively tender for projects, resulting in a less pressurised environment and providing the financial resources to recruit into the M&E team when needed rather than expecting employees to shoulder more pressure and work excessive hours. Essentially, a client-side role that will give you direct access to clients, working on the client’s behalf as part of the client team as the client’s representative. Offering you direct access to clients thinking and an unprecedented insight into the client’s psyche and the drivers behind commercial property ownership.
