Intermediate Mechanical Engineer
Intermediate Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer - To £45K + Package + Ongoing Training Due to growth, I'm looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer for a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in London. You'll be mentored by a Chartered and supportive Mechanical Director and be responsible for assisting the Senior Mechanical Engineers with design, sizing, calculations and attending site and design team meetings. As a Junior Mechanical (HVAC / Building Services) Design Engineer you'll receive ongoing training and support so you can progress to an engineer level within the next year and start leading your own projects. Key Duties. Production of HVAC design calculations on projects across RIBA stages 2 - 4a. Carrying out duct sizing, pipe sizing, layouts, plant sizing, heat loss and heat gain calculations, and pressure drop calculations. Assisting with the design of hot and cold-water services. Marking up AutoCAD drawings for the CAD staff to finalise Attending design team meetings with contractors, client's or architects. Ensuring your HVAC designs are coordinated with the Electrical and Structural Engineers. Attending site visits and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) to develop your understanding of the building services industry. Requirements Degree (Or HNC / HND) qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering. Able to use Bentley Hevacomp, IES, Revit or AutoCAD. Previous hotel, residential, commercial office or mixed-use project experience. At least two years' experience, working in the Building Services industry. They are looking for the services of an enthusiastic Health & Safety Advisor based in the outskirts of Glasgow. You will have experience of motivating and leading the company's existing employees to ensure they understand the importance of H&S culture and be motivated to carry out safe practices. Senior Mechanical Engineer - Berkshire - To £60K This well-known and well-established Building Services Consultancy in Berkshire are looking for an additional Senior Mechanical (Building Services / HVAC) Design Engineer. Led by two friendly Directors (1 x M and 1 x E) they have created a collaborative and relaxed working environment. They operate a flat structure where Senior Engineers are left to get on with designing and delivering projects and are not bogged down with unnecessary office politics. Progression will be easy and straightforward and be based on client feedback; and your ability to deliver profitable projects. It doesn't matter if you are chartered or not, or if you have completed a degree. What is important is that you can pick up a project and run with it, keep clients informed and can work in a team of around 25 engineers to meet common goals.
