I am working exclusively with a global Real Estate Consultancy, recruiting for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join an established M&E team consisting of some of the best Engineers in the industry. We are keen to speak to individuals who are interested in transferring their Mechanical Building Services Design skills Client- Side into the Commercial Property sector. Essentially engineering solutions that work towards optimising client’s portfolios. A strategic service offering that involves overseeing building performance evaluations, analysing data, and implementing optimisation strategies through design to enhance energy efficiency. Essentially, a client-side role that will give you direct access to clients, working on the client’s behalf as part of the client team as the client’s representative. They have an established team of experienced M&E Engineers, from which to continue your leaning and development. There is structured training for all employees to CEng and a clear route of progression. Requirements: The MEP team works closely with their Building Surveying teams to survey and report on the condition of Mechanical Services, which then lead into full MEP Design & Project Management. Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years post Grad, Mechanical Design experience from within the M&E Building Services industry and be looking to continue their technical skills whilst also developing their commercial and client facing skills. Design experience is a must but the option to learn how to undertake Mechanical Surveys and Energy Audits etc would be taught to the successful candidate. Having said that, candidates must have a proven ability to work within a team and you should be looking to work towards leading your own projects, in a client facing capacity. The ability to liaise and communicate effectively is essential, as is the ability to support and explain engineering matters to the building surveyors who you will be working with. In summary, the MEP team works as part of a property advisor team, contributing to the professional advice given to the client is respect of the investment, refurbishment, purchase, or disposal of property. Intermediate Electrical Engineer – Birmingham – to £45,000 + package Are you interested in using your building services Electrical Design skills in a role that will also allow you to have an impact on the energy efficiency of the built environment? We are working with a consultancy that align design with energy reduction and the decarbonisation of the built environment, to help them find their next Electrical Engineer. Established over 30 years ago they deliver M&E design consultancy services, energy efficiency, carbon management and cost reduction solutions to their clients across a range of sectors including Commercial, Residential, Education and Industrial. You will be working as part of the electrical design team to deliver projects from feasibility through to construction. This is a technical role and will enable you to work on all parts of the project from upfront strategic planning, right through to project management and implementation. The role will give you the autonomy to lead projects, liaising directly with clients and working on the client’s behalf to deliver projects inline with the targeted time scales and energy efficiency requirements. Based in their Birmingham office and working directly with the Principal Engineer, you will be joining and M&E team of 12 engineers. The office is home to 60 employees, newly refurbished and open plan, so you will have the whole team around you for support. What you’ll do: Design, specifications, and construction stage project management of electrical projects (all aspects of Electrical Services), this will include all RIBA stages. Ensuring all projects are designed and implemented to meet British Standards and other appropriate legislation. Electrical Services Feasibility Study and Energy Efficiency Reports, including Solar PV, LED Lighting and Electric Vehicle Charging. Attend project meetings. Attend regular Design Department meetings where workload schedules will be planned. Develop good relationships with each team member. Assist with implementing QA procedures for all projects.
