Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer required for Consultancy in mid-Kent An established Building Services Design Practice located in the heart of Kent are looking to recruit a Intermediate Building Services Engineer with a Mechanical bias. They specialise primarily in top quality hotel, leisure and spa establishments. They have created services installations with a number of world class Interior Designers and premium clients including The Savoy, Claridge's and Berkeley & Dorchester. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to hire a Intermediate Building Services Engineer with a Mechanical bias to support the Senior Engineers on working on projects from initial client contact through to final account. The successful applicants will undertake a range of duties across all aspects of the M&E building services design process from developing concepts, to the production of detailed design solutions for a wide variety of building types; applicants should be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of academic and/or practical experience. They have the ability to offer the following range of services including: Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Public Health Engineering Sprinkler and Misting Full design commissions Quantity Surveying and Cost Management Project Management Clients Representative Environmental and Energy Surveys You must be able to work in the UK without restriction. Mechanical Manager

Your new company My client are an industry-leading contractor who offer a broad range of M&E and FM services, primarily across London and the South East. Your new role As Mechanical Manager you will be responsible for HVAC refurbishment and upgrade projects within commercial properties in London, based in the office in SE London. Duties will include: Quotations for small and medium-sized HVAC projects Understand and instruct project design intent throughout Create and issue all required H&S documentation before and throughout projects Have full awareness of profit and loss position of the project Organise and deploy all required labour on site Track and forecast labour Invoicing Site meetings Negotiating all material and labour orders in line with expected margins What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role you will require relevant experience as a mechanical manager, specifically within HVAC refurbishment and upgrade projects. Mechanical Contracts Manager

Your new company A Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) contractor based in Belfast, who specialise in delivering complex projects across the UK and Ireland. They are currently expanding their team to meet the needs of their projects and are seeking a Mechanical Contracts Manager to manage the mechanical installations on fit-out and modular build projects. Your new role As a Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will be expected to promote best practice. The main duties and responsibilities include: To manage, monitor and successfully deliver mechanical contracts for customers. As a manager, you will have the responsibility of ensuring all works are carried out to a high standard, ensuring all RAMS and site safety plans are project specific and adhered to. You will develop good working relationships with clients and ensure that all works are programmed and completed in a professional controlled manner. Manage the in-house labour ensuring quality of work, and compliance with all legal and statutory requirements. Prepare quotes/variations for projects when required. Completing take-offs from drawings for all materials, ensuring the buying process is adhered to. Resolving any unforeseen M&E technical problems with confidence and ease. You will monitor all project costs and ensure that invoicing/payment applications are carried out accurately and on time. What you'll need to succeed Time served plumbing/heating engineer with commercial and industrial experience. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role with a proven track record and experience in all aspects of mechanical installations and regulations. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to work to a plan to avoid disappointments. Good knowledge of health, safety, environment, and quality systems. You will be commercially focused, and will have a reputation for achieving a high degree of customer satisfaction. Excellent leadership, motivational and people skills. Must have good IT skills (excel/word/outlook) and communication skills. Have a good knowledge of Design & Build Contracts (D&B) Have a good knowledge & understanding of electrical systems.
