Join CIBSE North West YEN for an exclusive evening tour of Energy House 2.0 at the University of Salford — one of the UK’s leading facilities for research into the performance of buildings, energy technologies and the transition towards a net-zero built environment.

🏢 The Tour

The tour will be hosted by the researchers at Energy House 2.0, led by Grant Henshaw, who will provide an insight into the facility, its capabilities and the research being undertaken within it.

Energy House 2.0 provides a controlled environment where researchers can test buildings and technologies under a wide range of conditions. The facility supports research into areas including energy efficiency, building performance, heating and cooling technologies, renewable energy, smart energy systems and the journey towards net zero.

The evening will provide an opportunity to learn more about how research is translated into practical solutions for the buildings of tomorrow, while giving attendees the chance to ask questions and engage directly with the researchers.

🚗 Getting There

Parking is available on site at the University of Salford, making the event easily accessible for those travelling by car.

Alternatively, Salford Crescent Train Station is within a short walking distance of the University campus, providing a convenient option for those travelling by public transport.

We encourage attendees to consider public transport where possible.

And, of course, no CIBSE North West YEN event would be complete without some time to network and catch up with fellow engineers!

Following the tour, we'll head over to The Old Fire Station, the local pub on the University of Salford campus, for some informal drinks and networking.
