Collaborating for a Climate-Ready Built Environment: UK–Canada Professional Partnerships

CIBSE Canada is delighted to host a special online event as part of Canada’s Climate Week Xchange, in partnership with CCWX and the British Consulate in Toronto.

As buildings around the world face growing climate pressures, international collaboration has never been more important. This webinar will showcase how UK and Canadian engineering teams are jointly delivering climate-aligned, resilient and high-performance building projects across both markets.

Through three project case studies, our panel will explore:

  • How cross-border teams share knowledge, tools and design approaches
  • Lessons learned in climate-responsive building services engineering
  • Opportunities for deeper UK–Canada professional collaboration
  • The role of joint standards and skills in driving low-carbon design excellence

The session will be chaired by Veronica Ochoa, CIBSE Canada member and Sustainability Engineer.

Featured project partnerships:

  • Arup
  • Populous / Stantec
  • Buro Happold / Dialog

This event is ideal for engineers, architects, sustainability professionals, policymakers and anyone interested in how international collaboration can accelerate progress toward a climate-ready built environment.

Join us to connect, learn, and celebrate UK–Canada engineering partnerships leading the way in climate-aligned design.
