Lessons learned and fresh ideas about EPO applications in medical locations and where things are headed next.

The presentation by Ian Chell MSc FSRP is about a death-related incident involving the Emergency Power Off (EPO)circuit in a cardiac catheter facility in 2020 and the consequential activities around a Police investigation and Coroner’s Inquest process into the fatality and the subsequent prevention of future deaths notice.

The talk will focus on the investigation and details of the inquest as well as lessons learned and the subsequent guidance from AXREM as well as the latest BS7671 Amendment 4. This will lead to an open discussion session.
