At the end of 2025, SFE Italy Hub in held their first ever event in Rome discussing Facade Refurbishment and Material Re-use, effectively titled "When in Rome...".
SFE Greece
The SFE is excited to announce our first steps in Greece to establish a network of professionals working in the field of façade engineering and design. SFE members in Greece recently presented at the Glass Forum, Athens. During the session, members provided a brief introduction to the Society of Façade Engineering and our aims. The Glass Forum was attended by professionals from across the wider facade industry in Greece, including manufacturers, contractors, architects, engineers, and developers.
SFE India
We will at first be presenting the SFE, the aims of the Hub and the benefits of SFE membership before giving details of how participants can join the SFE.
Russell Cole (Director of Arup, leading their façade business across the region and global building envelope skills leader) will make a present the characteristics, Pros and Cons of different curtain wall systems and where they should be used in different locations on buildings. This, we hope, will spark a lively debate exploring what curtain wall system is used where.
SFE London
In London, the SFE hosted our annual Christmas Quiz, kindly hosted by AKT II at their London Office. Our quizmaster David Entwistle put competing teams through their paces with a mix of façade and festive questions. Well done to our winners Team “Trombe”.
