The Technical & Training Subcommittee are currently identifying existing training material and developing new courses. P604 is the first training module developed by ILEVE in partnership with BOHS. A number of successful courses have now been completed.
P600 - Methods for Testing the Performance of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems
In order to fulfil the requirements of the ILEVE TExT module, the BOHS P600 course is recommended. The course enables candidates to identify and correctly use appropriate flow visualisation and measurement techniques to test the performance of local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems.
P601 - Thorough Examination and Testing of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems
In order to fulfil the requirements of the ILEVE TExT module, the BOHS P601 course is recommended. The course provides candidates with the knowledge and skills to carry out thorough testing and examination (TExT) of local exhaust ventilation systems, to ensure that they are performing to a high standard.
P602 - Basic Design Principles of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems
In order to fulfil the requirements of the ILEVE design module, the BOHS P602 course is recommended. The course provides candidates with the theoretical and practical knowledge for designing and evaluating the performance of local exhaust ventilation systems, to ensure that they effectively control airborne contaminants.
P603 - Control of Hazardous Substances - Personal Protective Equipment
The course teaches candidates about the different options available for controlling health hazards in the workplace, and how to develop, organise and implement a successful personal protective equipment programme to reduce worker exposure to these hazards.
P604 - Performance Evaluation and Management of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems
In order to fulfil the requirements of the ILEVE Commissioning Module the ILEVE/BOHS P604 course is recommended. The course also provides the advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of LEV to prove competence for TExT and System Design, to supplement BOHS P601 & P602.
W201 - Basic Principles of Occupational Hygiene
In order to fulfil the requirements of the ILEVE Occupational Hygiene module, the BOHS W201 course is recommended.
