How to join the SDE

Apply for SDE Affiliate membership

All new members of the Society will also automatically become members of CIBSE as an Affiliate or Student. If you are already a member of CIBSE, you will retain your existing CIBSE grade upon joining the Society. If you are already a CIBSE member, please email [email protected] and we will manually add on your Society subscription. Payment for SDE Affiliate membership can done via your MyCIBSE account or over the phone.

If you are interested in higher grades of CIBSE membership please visit the Membership Section of the website or email the Membership team.

Associate, Member and Fellow grades of the SDE will be made available soon, they will require online learning, an interview and a written technical report.

Standard SDE Membership Fees

SDE Affiliate subscription is £10, and requires an accompanying CIBSE Affiliate subscription unless you are already a member.
