UK Weather Data: Current - TRY only - Cardiff (Part L Compliance) [2016 Release

These files are required for compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations. CIBSE recommend the use of the 2025 release of weather files for building performance analysis at design stage. For more details, please visit CIBSE Weather Data. The TRY is used for energy analysis and for compliance with the Building Regulations (Part L). The TRY is composed of 12 separate months of data, each representing an average month derived from observed data. The 2016 TRY files are based on hourly data collected over 30 years, from 1984 to 2013 and the methodology for producing the files is explained further in Technical Briefing and Testing and Eames et al (2015). TRY files are provided for 14 site locations (two additional sites are provided in the London site package). These include: • Belfast • Birmingham • Cardiff • Edinburgh • Glasgow • Leeds • London (data for 3 sites inc. London City, Gatwick and Heathrow) • Manchester • Newcastle • Plymouth • Southampton • Swindon For further advice on which packages to choose please email [email protected]. File Format, Contents and Naming: All sets are presented in three formats: EDSL Tas, epw & Excel. Hourly data for the following parameters are included in each file for 1 year: • Dry bulb temperature (°C) • Wet bulb temperature (°C) • Atmospheric pressure (hPa) • Global solar irradiation (W/m2) • Diffuse solar irradiation (W/m2) • Cloud cover (10ths) • Wind speed (knots) • Wind direction (degrees clockwise from North) Each file is labelled in the following way: Sitename_FileType.epw Belfast_TRY.epw License Information: The price for this product is for a single license. If an additional user license is required these need to be purchased separately.
