The Government, in consultation with industry, has produced guidance to help employers, employees and the self-employed understand how to work safely during the coronavirus pandemic. There are eight sector specific sets of guidance on safely returning businesses to operation.

To help reduce the risks of legionella in buildings that have been vacated, the HSE has launched a new website.

If a building was closed or has reduced occupancy during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, water system stagnation can occur due to lack of use, increasing the risks of Legionnaires’ disease.
