The main topic is flue systems and the different methods of flue design, but the main emphasises is the way the Clean Air Act and the various standards effect the flue heights relative to the types of fuels and size of plant.
General combustion and stoichiometric combustion is also covered. Particular emphasis is with regards to the current British Standards and their clear and precise interpretation. A great number of the current standards have undergone large changes and the company’s technical director was responsible for a number of the section covered by both BS 6644 & IGE/UP/10 and the alignment of the above. Testing procedures for commercial and industrial flus systems is also covered.
