We have personalised Regional Specification Manager to help select the correct systems and alarms at design & specification level and a training scheme for installers to make sure that all the all the alarms and accessories are fitted correctly. After this there is on-going support from the Technical Department at Head Office. Aico’s Centre of Excellence in Oswestry, Midlands is a new state of the art training and meeting facility that takes customer support to the next step creating a space for the industry to train, meet, develop and innovate. The Centre includes ‘Ember Place’ – a mock bungalow fully fitted with alarms and accessories and a dedicated workshop area for hands-on training.

Summary of Type of Courses and Area of Specialisms Offered:
The Expert Installer Core Module covers Standards, Regulations, Legislation, Design and Installation, testing and maintenance in relations to domestic fire and gas detection alarm systems. The Core presentation is designed to be completed within 60 minutes.
The presentations are designed to educate attendees on the main requirements around regulations, best practice and selection of equipment in accordance with regional Building Regulations along with the British Standard BS 5839-6:2019
The BS 5839-6:2019 updates presentation focuses on the principle changes to the 2019 version of the British Standard since the previous 2013 release. The BS 5839-6:2019 presentation is designed to be completed within 30 minutes.
