CIBSE’s Hong Kong Region hosted its 2026 Annual Dinner recently, bringing together members, colleagues and distinguished guests for an evening of celebration, networking, and inspiration. The event was attended by CIBSE CEO Ruth Carter, 2025/2026 President Vince Arnold and Director of Membership Richard Goldsbrough, who enjoyed the opportunity to meet members, hear about their achievements and reflect on the growth and impact of the profession in the region.

The dinner was made even more special with the presence of Mr TAI Sheung Shing, Victor, JP, Under Secretary for Housing, attending as Guest of Honour on behalf of the Secretary for Housing. His participation highlighted the strong links between the built environment profession and government and the shared commitment to delivering high-performing, sustainable, and resilient buildings across Hong Kong.

Throughout the evening, the energy and enthusiasm of CIBSE members were on full display. The event offered a platform to celebrate professional achievements, recognise outstanding contributions, and strengthen the local engineering community.

CIBSE extends heartfelt thanks to the Hong Kong committee and all the volunteers whose dedication and hard work made the evening such a success. From meticulous planning to on-the-ground support during the event, their efforts ensured a seamless and memorable experience for everyone in attendance.

The Annual Dinner not only celebrated the past year’s accomplishments but also reinforced the spirit of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional excellence that defines CIBSE globally. Events like these are a reminder of the importance of fostering strong connections within the profession and the impact that a committed and engaged membership can have on the future of building services engineering.
