CIBSE responded to a Government consultation on 09/09/2008 for changes to the Approved Documents in Part L. (This is separate from the Review of Part L in 2010, working groups for which are already set up and include CIBSE representatives.)
The consultation proposed amending the ADs in the light of amended Regulations for commissioning, self-certification and notifiable work, corrections of inaccuracies, references to BR443 conventions for U-value calculations and proposed improvements to the style of ADs. The changes relating to BR443 are a result of the recent Judicial Review of CLG's handling of the 2006 amendments to the Building Regulations and Approved Documents.
