CIBSE ANZ paid tribute to two of its longest-serving members during a special celebration held in Auckland last Thursday.

While in the city for a committee meeting and technical event, the ANZ committee extended an invitation to members who have been with CIBSE for over 50 years. The evening culminated in a celebratory dinner attended by both the ANZ and New Zealand committee members.

Among the honoured guests were David William Livingston Cooke, who joined CIBSE in 1953, and David Reeks, a member since 1970. Their decades of dedication to the building services engineering profession were formally recognised during a technical event hosted by Mott MacDonald, where CIBSE ANZ Chair, Mark Davie, presented each with a Certificate of Recognition.

The event not only celebrated individual achievements but also highlighted the importance of preserving and sharing industry knowledge. The ANZ committee is now calling on retired members to contribute to the profession by forming local working groups to support knowledge sharing and mentoring within the industry.
