CIBSE MENA Awards 2025: Celebrating excellence in Building Services Engineering across the region

CIBSE is proud to announce the return of its prestigious regional awards under the newly rebranded CIBSE MENA Awards. Formerly known as the CIBSE UAE Annual Awards, this revitalised programme reflects the Institution’s commitment to recognising excellence across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The 2025 Awards ceremony will take place on 30 October 2025 in Dubai, bringing together industry leaders, innovators and professionals to celebrate outstanding achievements in building services engineering. Entries are now open, with a submission deadline of 11 July 2025.

As one of the few awards programmes in the region dedicated exclusively to building services engineering, the CIBSE MENA Awards uniquely brings together all disciplines under one umbrella; from consultancy and manufacturing to the many specialist areas that contribute to the performance of the built environment.

This year’s categories reflect the breadth and depth of the industry, with new and returning honours across areas including Data Centre of the Year, Specialist Lighting, and Façade Engineering, alongside core awards such as Graduate of the Year, Mechanical Engineer of the Year, Plumbing Engineer of the Year, Sustainability Engineer of the Year, and Executive of the Year for both the Manufacturer and Supplier and Consultancy sectors.

The CIBSE MENA Building Performance Award is a new and exciting addition for 2025. This accolade recognises and celebrates buildings that demonstrate high levels of user satisfaction and comfort while delivering outstanding measured performance. Creating this type of exemplar building is a demanding task, and the award acknowledges the dedication, innovation, and collaborative effort of the entire project team.

All shortlisted entries for the MENA Building Performance Award will automatically be entered into the global CIBSE Building Performance Awards, offering further international recognition for outstanding achievement and leadership.

These values shape the judging criteria and ensure the awards offer not only regional acclaim but also strategic exposure to participating individuals, project teams, and companies who are driving progress across the built environment.
