The UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard (UKNZCBS) is set to take centre stage this November, with its first major industry conference marking a defining moment for the built environment.

Taking place on 6 November 2025 at the Royal College of Physicians in London, the event will unveil the lessons, results and next steps from the Standard’s pilot programme, insights that will influence the future of every building type, from datacentres to schools.

Hear from the leaders driving the Standard

The one-day conference will feature keynote addresses from:

  • David Partridge, Chair, UKNZCBS Governance Board

  • Katie Clemence-Jackson, CEO, UKNZCBS Ltd
Alongside these keynote speakers, project teams and early adopters will share first-hand experiences of applying the Standard in practice.

What to expect

Delegates will gain exclusive insight into how the Standard is being implemented, including:

  • First results from pilot projects across multiple sectors

  • Guidance on technical requirements, reporting, and verification

  • Updates on carbon and energy budgets, EUI limits, and embodied carbon

  • A preview of the UKNZCBS Stock Model and its implications for future modelling

  • Networking with leading developers, designers, and policymakers committed to achieving net zero

Why attend?

This conference is more than a milestone, it is the moment where ambition turns into action. Attendees will be among the first to see how the Standard is applied in practice and to explore what this means for the industry’s transition to net zero. It is a unique opportunity to engage directly with the pioneers shaping the Standard and to position yourself at the forefront of the UK’s decarbonisation journey.
