Enda Seyama-Heneghan steps into the role of Chair with a clear vision for YEN’s future: one rooted in collaboration, inclusivity, and cross-disciplinary learning.

“Our industry faces significant challenges that we can only address through collaboration and hearing diverse voices,” Enda shared. “I see CIBSE YEN as a space for early-career engineers of all disciplines to share ideas and learn from different perspectives, giving us the tools we need to shape the future of the built environment.”

Strengthening Connections Across ANZ and Beyond

The new committee is committed to expanding YEN’s reach and impact through strategic partnerships with other early-career networks, universities, and regional groups.

“Joint events with other early-career groups are a fantastic way for us to broaden our networks and understand how we all contribute to the built environment industry,” Enda explained. “We hope to grow our partnerships with universities to support students transitioning into their careers, and we see great opportunity to connect across ANZ and with the wider global network.”

Inspired by Peers, Driven by Purpose

Reflecting on her journey with YEN, Enda highlighted the influence of her peers and the collective energy that drives the network forward.

“During the three years that I have been part of CIBSE YEN, I have been inspired by many of my peers. From their technical knowledge, to career planning, to creativity – I am constantly encouraged by them and feel hopeful that they are the next leaders of our industry.”

With a dynamic committee and a renewed commitment to collaboration, CIBSE YEN ANZ is poised to continue shaping a resilient, inclusive, and innovative future for building services engineering.
