This course introduces the fundamental principles of Energy Surveying by discussing and highlighting the essential information required. The course further examines structures for Energy Survey Reports and discusses the varying detail needed from an initial feasibility report to a detailed investment grade survey report.

The course seeks to provide a solid foundation of background reference material in the form of standards, technical guides and regulations that will assist with formulating an Energy Survey Report.

The course also highlights energy benchmarking methods and uses “real life” survey photos to highlight energy-saving opportunities commonly found when undertaking an Energy Survey.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, the delegate will be able to understand how a building's energy footprint can be benchmarked, determine the most applicable type of energy survey for a building, its client or organisation and recognise energy-saving opportunities.
