Overview of SFE Technical Committee
An introduction to the SFE Technical Committee
Introduction to the SFE Standard Scope of Services Document
The SFE Technical Committee are currently in the process of developing a standardised scope document which is intended to work as a guideline for those looking to procure or deliver façade consultancy services. The document will follow the RIBA Plan of Work and will provide an insight into the typical input, tasks and deliverables completed by the façade consultant during each of the defined work Stages.
A review of BS EN 13830 Curtain walling. Product standard
The latest version of EN 13830 was published in 2015 and amended in 2020. Although it has not yet been cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is important for the façade industry to understand its key updates. Among these, a significant change is the revised approach to structural verification.
Q&A with members of the SFE Technical Committee
We also welcome ideas from our members for further topics of research.
Networking and refreshments will continue after the presentations.
There will be a charge of £15 for attendees who do not have a SFE membership.
