Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities Lead the electrical design and delivery of multiple building services projects from concept through to completion. Manage project programmes, budgets and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery. Produce and review detailed electrical design calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation. Attend client, design team and site meetings, acting as the lead electrical engineer where required. Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, structural engineers and external consultants throughout the design process. Undertake site inspections, witness commissioning activities and provide technical support during construction. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for repeat business. Mentor and support intermediate and junior engineers, providing technical guidance and encouraging professional development. Ensure all work is delivered in accordance with current regulations, industry standards and company quality procedures. Requirements Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 6-8 years' experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment. Strong technical knowledge of low voltage power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms and associated building services systems. Proven experience delivering projects across sectors such as healthcare, education, commercial and residential. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high technical standards. Excellent communication and client-facing skills. Commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and programme delivery. Experience mentoring or supervising junior engineers. Working knowledge of industry design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and electrical design packages. Progress towards Chartered Engineer status, or already Chartered, would be advantageous.
