Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Glasgow - Property Consultancy - to £57,000 + c.10% Bonus + Package. Are you curious to test your ability to lead design projects in a client-side capacity, managing both the design and technical aspects on projects but also the financial, contractual aspects of Electrical Building Services Design? Remuneration: Salary £57,000 Discretionary Bonus c.10% per annum Company pension 8% employer contribution Life assurance 4 x salary 25 days holiday Healthcare What you’ll do: Carry out full detailed design Client advisory directly with end user clients Project management & coordination with other engineering and real estate disciplines Prepare specifications, reports, design drawings and budget costs to programmes Peer review and overseeing external consultant designs Client/Project management We work exclusively with one of the world’s leading Property Consultants, who advise on all aspects of commercial property to help their clients realise the true value of their buildings and/or estates. Over the last decade they have developed a fully functioning, in-house M&E Consultancy that feeds off the M&E work that occurs across their client’s buildings and portfolio’s - full Project Management & Detailed Design (stages 0-7). Uniquely, they have access to their own client base and do not have to competitively tender for projects, resulting in a less pressurised environment and providing the financial resources to recruit into the M&E team when needed rather than expecting employees to shoulder more pressure and work excessive hours. Essentially, a client-side role that will give you direct access to clients, working on the client’s behalf as part of the client team as the clients representative. Offering you direct access to clients thinking and an unprecedented insight into the clients psyche and the drivers behind commercial property ownership. They have an established team of experienced M&E Engineers, from which to continue your leaning and development. There is structured training for all employees to CEng and a clear route of progression. The earning potential is in excess of that in design consultancy, with a great salary and an excellent package, including annual bonus of circa 10% of salary and opportunities for CPD and career growth that are exponential. Associate / Associate Director / Director - MEP Building Services Location: London Discipline: MEP / Building Services Level: Associate to Director Turner Property Recruitment are working with an established property and construction consultancy looking to make their first dedicated MEP / Building Services hire in London. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Building Services professional to join an established consultancy and take ownership of developing its MEP capability. The business already has an established client base and a strong pipeline of opportunities across its wider consultancy services. Rather than joining an existing MEP team, you will have the opportunity to shape the service from the outset, working directly with clients, delivering projects and ultimately growing a team around you. The Opportunity We are interested in speaking with individuals operating at Associate, Associate Director or Director level who combine strong technical Building Services knowledge with commercial awareness and client-facing capability. The role will include: Leading and developing the consultancy's MEP / Building Services offering Delivering M&E design, technical advisory and project management services Working directly with existing clients to identify MEP opportunities Supporting business development and winning new instructions Providing technical leadership across projects Developing the service offering and its position within the wider business Recruiting and growing an MEP team as workload develops Working closely with the existing surveying, project management and consultancy teams About You You will ideally have: A strong background within an MEP or multidisciplinary consultancy Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering experience Experience delivering Building Services projects from a consultancy perspective Strong client-facing and project delivery skills Commercial awareness and an interest in business development The ambition to take ownership of and grow an MEP service CEng, MCIBSE or equivalent professional accreditation would be advantageous, but is not essential This could particularly suit someone currently at Associate or Associate Director level who feels ready to take ownership of a service, or an established Director looking for the autonomy to build something of their own within an existing consultancy.
