Principal Mechanical Engineer - Hertfordshire - To £75K This building services firm in Hertfordshire works on fascinating projects, including listed buildings, data centers, commercial offices, and universities. Due to growth, they are now looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their supportive and collaborative MEP team of 20 individuals. Supported by the hands-on director when required, you'll lead complex projects through all RIBA stages. No crazy deadlines, and plenty of time and fees to do quality work. They recognize and reward results and have always paid London salaries for their Engineers based in Hertfordshire, as they want to attract and retain the best engineers. The result? As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you'll lead projects, review the work produced by the mechanical team (i.e., review the HVAC design and energy modeling), maintain key client relationships, and assist with fee proposals and resource planning. The Role As a Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer , you will take a lead role in designing and delivering electrical engineering solutions for a wide range of projects. You will be working closely with clients, consultants and fellow engineers, contributing your expertise at every project stage. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver electrical engineering designs from concept through to detailed stages in line with RIBA work stages. Prepare specifications, technical reports, layout drawings and contract documents. Lead electrical design strategy discussions with clients and stakeholders. Support tender processes, including contractor selection and evaluation. Attend site meetings and Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive team environment. Ensure all designs comply with current regulations, sustainability goals and client expectations. About You We’re looking for someone passionate about engineering and motivated by high-quality outcomes. You will have: Either demonstrable experience in a consulting engineering environment or relevant transferrable skills. Solid experience in electrical design (power, lighting, alarms, PV, EVC, etc.). Strong understanding of IET Wiring Regulations, Building Regulations, BREEAM and sustainable design principles. Proficiency in relevant software such as Amtech/Trimble, Relux/Dialux. Experience with Revit (desirable). Excellent communication and client-facing skills. The ability to work independently, make decisions and lead by example. Their project portfolio includes data centers, commercial offices, residential developments, schools, universities, and hospitals. Due to growth, they are looking for a competent, reliable Electrical Design Engineer for their London office based near Liverpool Street station. Someone who can design, manage, and deliver a project with limited supervision. An Electrical Design Engineer who can produce reports and technical specifications and can use Revit MEP. Someone who is just as comfortable on-site overseeing and approving the quality of the electrical installations as they are dealing with an architect at the beginning of a project. Mechanical Design Engineer

Due to securing several high-rise mixed-use developments in London, this multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a reliable Mechanical Design Engineer. Supported by a friendly, easy-going, and approachable Chartered Associate Director, you'll enjoy as much responsibility and autonomy as you want. If you're up for it, you'll have the chance to lead projects, mentor engineers, and assist with design management. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll interact directly with clients and act as the single point of contact for all aspects of HVAC design. You'll attend DTMs, deliver client presentations, assist with fee bids, allocate resources, and oversee the work produced by junior and graduate engineers. This role will suit a client-facing Mechanical (Building Services) Design Engineer who enjoys seeing projects progress from feasibility through to construction, and who is looking for a clear path to Senior Engineer.
