Senior Electrical Engineer

The Facilities Management team plays a crucial role in ensuring the electrical assets of the estate are maintained to high standards. Your new role As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for electrical maintenance, infrastructure, and minor projects. Your duties will include designing electrical specifications, preparing tender documents, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will also coordinate project maintenance activities and manage both revenue and capital expenditure planned maintenance activities. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in electrical services repair and maintenance. Ability to design electrical installations and produce tender documentation. Competence in high and low voltage electrical installation design. Experience in managing people and leading a technical team. IT literacy, including familiarity with Excel, Word, and hand-held tablets. A recognised City & Guilds Qualification in Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship and a minimum HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering. BIM Coordinator (Building Services)

Your new company Our client is a large-sized Building Services engineering contractor with multiple offices across the UK and Ireland. Specialising not only in Mechanical & Electrical Building Design. Employees are able to work on exciting projects to deliver low energy and high quality products. These projects range from new builds to refurbishments and can vary in scale from small works to £100m+. Your new role Working within a multidisciplined BIM/REVIT team, you will be responsible for generating quality, accurate and detailed records of Building Services engineering project documentation, working within the requirements of the project BIM execution plan. You will produce 2D layouts/ schematics using AutoCAD as well as 3D BIM models, generating 2D/ 3D/ layouts/ sections/ schematics, to include information modelling using Revit MEP; as well as clash detection using Navisworks. Setup drawings and make them ready for the team to work on Review project files for compliance with Standards/protocols Implement best practice procedures Assisting Engineers in drawing production Produce accurate 2D drawings, 3D models Coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements and in conjunction with other disciplines. Helping to technically deliver BIM/CAD projects in the role of CAD and BIM coordination Creating clash detection reports and resolving issues with the support of the Engineering Team Family creation and input for developing standard details and procedures Able to meet tight deadlines and able to work alone or with a team What you'll need to succeed *Proficiency with software such as Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks - examples of work will be requested at interview *An understanding of the requirement for building services co-ordination - working to have knowledge of BS 1992, PAS 1192 and BS8541 *Previous experience working in a Building Services consultancy environment *Familiar with assurance processes, codes of practice, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation *Eligible to pass criteria for security clearance and airside pass applications *Positive outlook and self-motivated. *Good communication and interpersonal skills. Mechanical Project Manager

Your new company You will be working for a leading M&E contractor that has continued to grow into one of the largest M&E contractors in the UK. They work on a variety of different projects which include; commercial, industrial and high-end residential. They have a strong pipeline of work and are looking for the right people to join their team for this continued growth.Your new role Attend project start up meetings and manage all mechanical aspects, delivering the project, on time and within budget. Familiarise yourself with all details and specifications of the project. Collate technical submittals, ensuring they are issued and followed through until approval. Manage labour tracker. Maintain Progress Report weekly, reporting and managing any changes/variations. Liaise with main contractors and the client-based site team.
