Principal/Associate Electrical Engineer (Global Consultancy)
Your new company A global leader in high-end consulting and engineering services is seeking Principal/Associate Electrical Engineers to join their building services team in Belfast. Your new role In this role you will lead and deliver multiple medium to large-scale projects, encompassing all facets of design within electrical engineering consultancy services. You will be responsible for; undertaking calculations, production of drawings, producing specifications and reports, conducting site surveys, conducting construction stage duties, providing client liaison, consulting with members of design/construction teams and any other relevant duties required to comply with project briefs. Conducting electrical services designs across a range of sectors, from concept through to completion. Produce detailed design calculations to support designs. Produce reports and specifications of all aspects of electrical building services. Production of design drawings. Conduct site surveys to establish condition and operation status of existing installations. Ensure compliance with all aspects of construction health and safety regulations. Mentoring and guidance of junior to intermediate engineers Input into fee estimates and bid process Support directors with resource planning and managing team workload What you'll need to succeed Educated in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or another relevant field Chartered Engineer or willing to work towards Strong project management skills in delivering building services projects from concept through to handover Excellent communication and client-facing skills with the confidence to manage varying client situations Ability to develop relationships with new and existing clients Understanding of commercial project management and cost control Ambition and drive to lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians Ability to develop designs conscious of energy conservation, sustainability and with a knowledge basis of renewable technologies. Knowledge and experience of a range of digital tools including AutoCAD, AutoDesk Revit, Relux, Dialux, Amtech, NBS and Microsoft packages.
