The Role You’ll play a key role in developing traffic and transport solutions for a diverse range of projects, from new residential and commercial developments to regeneration and infrastructure schemes. The position offers hands-on technical design work alongside client engagement and the opportunity to progress quickly within a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare transport assessments, travel plans, and junction capacity modelling . Undertake and analyse traffic surveys, feasibility studies, and access design . Use software such as AutoCAD, Junctions 10 (PICADY/ARCADY), LinSig, and TRICS . Support the design of traffic management measures, road layouts, and active travel schemes. Liaise with local authorities and clients to support planning submissions and approvals. Contribute to the delivery of innovative and sustainable transport solutions. Requirements 2–6 years’ experience in transport planning or traffic engineering. Experience producing technical reports and supporting planning applications. Knowledge of relevant design standards (DMRB, MfS, TSRGD, etc.). Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Junctions 10, LinSig, or TRICS advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills. The Role You’ll take a leading role in the design and delivery of infrastructure schemes, working on projects from concept through to detailed design. The role involves close collaboration with clients, local authorities, and design teams, producing adoptable and private works drawings and reports to current standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the design of infrastructure works, including highways and drainage, for residential and commercial developments. Prepare and review drawings, reports, and technical documents using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage (InfoDrainage). Work confidently with Section 278, 38, 104, and 106 agreements , ensuring designs meet local authority adoption standards.
