As a Mechanical (HVAC) Design Engineer, you'll be joining a supportive team of 40 M&E Design Engineers. What you'll do Lead the HVAC / mechanical systems design on commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects. Collaborate with architects, electrical, structural, and MEP teams to deliver technically sound, efficient solutions. Support project delivery from concept through detailed design and coordination. Mentor junior engineers and help shape the future technical direction of the mechanical team. Requirements At least five years of experience in Mechanical / HVAC design experience in building services. Strong technical skills in HVAC and an awareness of NZC and decarbonisation. Good communication skills, able to work in a team. Plenty of ambition, desire to grow not just as an engineer, but as a future leader or partner.

Senior Fabric Estimator

My client are a Building Services & Specialist Contractor who have been established in 2003 who have 8 Offices throughout the UK.   As a business, they employ 300+ Staff Nationally and are expected to Turnover £55Mil+ this year.   Working within the Commercial & Public Sectors, their sites are generally within London, Surrey, Kent & Sussex.    The London Office is currently 15 strong, made up of 3 Admins along with Contract Managers & Project Managers.   Due to growth of business, they are now seeking a Senior Estimator to join their London office.    THE JOB – SENIOR ESTIMATOR (FABRIC WORKS) Monday – Friday / 8am - 4pm   You will producing tenders in Construction and Fabric Projects up to a value of £3,000,000.   Core Duties Tendering & Cost Estimation Prepare detailed cost estimates for building fabric works (e.g., roofing, masonry, carpentry, plastering, painting, flooring, partitions, ceilings). Assess drawings, specifications, and site surveys to determine material, labor, and equipment needs. Develop Bills of Quantities (BoQ) or schedules of rates. Produce cost plans, budgets, and value-engineered options. Bid Management Review invitations to tender (ITTs), RFQs, and PQQs to ensure compliance. Prepare and submit competitive tender proposals. Liaise with supply chain partners for quotations and rates. Identify commercial risks and mitigation measures within bids. Technical & Commercial Analysis Carry out site inspections and feasibility studies. Evaluate subcontractor bids and supplier quotations for accuracy and compliance. Ensure all costs reflect current market conditions, building codes, and best practices. Support cost modelling for reactive and planned maintenance projects. Collaboration & Liaison Work closely with project managers, contracts managers, surveyors, and procurement teams. Provide pre- and post-contract support, including clarification of estimates. Engage with clients and consultants to explain cost breakdowns. Risk & Compliance Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies. Ensure estimates comply with health & safety regulations, sustainability goals, and statutory requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction materials, building regulations, and industry standards. Leadership & Mentoring Guide junior estimators and assist in their professional development. Establish best practices in estimating, cost tracking, and bid submissions. Lead estimating efforts for high-value or complex fabric service projects. Typical Outputs Cost estimates and tender submissions. Budget forecasts for planned and reactive fabric maintenance. Risk registers and commercial assumptions. Supplier and subcontractor cost analysis reports.
