Well Standard - Lighting and Wellbeing

Following up on a huge success of our Emergency Lighting CPD based on a murder mystery style investigation, we are committed to deliver an engaging and fun seminar once more. This time, we have been inspired by the biggest mission that mankind faces in our lifetime. We fast forward to year 2025 and head over to Mars to set up the first office building ahead of commercial passengers arriving to the red planet. As the living conditions on Mars are harsh, we have to make sure the office building is designed for the maximum wellbeing and health of its occupiers. We are tasked with designing a lighting scheme to comply with the WELL standard v2. Working for the most influential man on the planet, we have to get things right. Luckily, we have a clever virtual assistant Henry, who has all the right answers. What can possibly go wrong?

Ambient Loop Heat Networks

This CPD covers the key drivers and design considerations of ambient loop heat networks or 5th generation heat networks. Design fundamentals of air source and water source heat pumps in a cascade arrangement will be presented along with best practice guidance beyond design and installation.

This CPD covers the key drivers for the adoption of ambient loop heat networks, low temperature heat pump system design fundamentals, lessons learnt from existing projects in the UK & best practice beyond design and installation.

Below is the learning objectives

1.      Heat Network Generations, 1G to 5G Systems Overview & Key Differences

2.      Heat Pump Fundamentals – Air Source, Water Source and Cascade Systems

3.      Ambient Loop System Heating, Cooling and Heat Recovery Overview

4.      Overheating, Heat Network Distribution Losses and Efficiencies

5.      System Design Fundamentals – Primary & Secondary Circuits

6.      Best Practice and Case Study Example

7.      Reducing Energy Costs Beyond Design & Installation
