Corrugated Stainless Steel Piping Systems for Hot & Cold Water is an intermediate CPD for M&E engineers, public health engineers, consultants and specification writers. The session explains the material science, corrugation geometry and fitting systems behind 316L stainless steel piping, then compares performance against copper, PEX and multilayer composite pipework. It covers hydraulic considerations, installation efficiency, hot-works reduction, CDM implications, WRAS/KIWA certification, BS EN 806/BS 8558 context, water hygiene, sustainability and whole-life cost. The course is deliberately balanced: it identifies where corrugated stainless steel is strongest and where other materials may be more appropriate. Attendees leave with a structured decision framework for selecting pipe materials on hot and cold water projects.
