CIBSE Scotland: Passivhaus Equivalent Standard (Stage 2 Consultation)

CIBSE Scotland is pleased to invite members and industry professionals to an interactive webinar focused on the current Scottish Government consultation on Building Standards and the Passivhaus Equivalent Standard (Stage 2).

The Scottish Government has proposed significant changes to the way energy performance and operational outcomes are considered within Scotland's building standards framework. This consultation represents an important opportunity for construction professionals to help shape the future direction of building regulations and the delivery of low-energy, high-performance buildings across Scotland.

The session will begin with a presentation from Daniel Foulds of the Scottish Government, who will provide an overview of the energy standards review so far followed by a more detailed view of the stage 2 consultation, its objectives, and the key proposals currently under consideration.

Following the presentation, attendees will take part in a facilitated discussion led by CIBSE Scotland. This interactive session will provide an opportunity for participants to share perspectives, raise considerations, and discuss the practical implications of the proposals for the building services profession and the wider industry.

As this is a live consultation exercise, the event is not intended as a question-and-answer session with the Scottish Government. The emphasis of the discussion will instead be on gathering industry views and encouraging dialogue. The key themes and outcomes from the discussion may be used to help inform CIBSE's response to the consultation.
