CIBSE Scotland is hosting an interactive online discussion on the Scottish Government’s Stage 2 consultation on the Passivhaus Equivalent Standard, giving members and industry professionals an opportunity to share their views on the future of building standards in Scotland.
The Passivhaus Equivalent Standard (Stage 2) consultation represents an important stage in the Scottish Government’s review of energy standards and could have significant implications for the way energy performance and operational outcomes are considered within Scotland’s building standards framework.
The free online event, taking place on Monday 21 September from 12:30pm to 1:30pm GMT+1, will begin with a presentation from Daniel Foulds of the Scottish Government, who will provide an overview of the energy standards review to date and explore the objectives and key proposals set out in the Stage 2 consultation.
The presentation will be followed by a facilitated discussion led by CIBSE Scotland, providing participants with an opportunity to share their perspectives, raise issues and consider the practical implications of the proposals for building services professionals and the wider construction industry.
As the consultation is ongoing, the session will not be a traditional question-and-answer webinar with the Scottish Government. Instead, the focus will be on gathering industry views and encouraging an open discussion around the proposals. Key themes and feedback from the session may help inform CIBSE’s response to the consultation.
Attendees are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the consultation documents ahead of the event and come prepared to contribute their views.
