Building façades play a fundamental role in ensuring occupant comfort, energy efficiency, and the overall environmental performance of buildings. However, façade performance is typically assessed using indicators and evaluation methods that are not sufficient to provide a comprehensive understanding of façade behaviour.
What tools are currently available to measure, simulate, and monitor façade performance?
The Façade Performance event, organised in collaboration with SFE Italy Hub, will showcase new measurement methodologies, digital design tools, advanced simulation models, and façade monitoring solutions developed within the framework of the FAIR project, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), by Eurac Research, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, GlassAdvisor, and CAEmate.
The event is aimed at architects, designers, consultants, manufacturers, contractors, and other building industry professionals. The programme includes technical presentations, guided visits to the experimental laboratories of Eurac Research and the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, as well as a dedicated networking session fostering dialogue between research and industry.
